Patrizia: Meeting Lars Schwabe after his excellent presentation was a great opportunity to talk more about the effects of stress on cognitive abilities. In the more informal and intimate context that the “meet-the-speaker” format provides, everybody had the chance to ask questions about the paradigms, tasks, and physiological measures that Lars uses for his research. Even better, Lars also shared some helpful career advice with us and was very open to talk about current challenges in academia and how to approach them. I gained valuable insights, both on an academic and on a personal level.
