Prof. Dr. Stephan Sigrist is elected to European Molecular Biology Organization
EMBO announces election of 69 new members

According to EMBO, Prof. Dr. Stephan Sigrist and the other 68 new members qualify for admission to the European Molecular Biology Organization with scientific contributions from the entire spectrum of bioscience research, including research contributions to the understanding of the immune system, sensory perception, and innovative vaccines.
“These remarkable scientists have unlocked the molecular secrets of life and deepened our understanding of health and disease; paving the way for further discoveries and innovations. Their achievements underscore the critical role that life science research plays in the lives of citizens in Europe and around the world,” says Fiona Watt, director of the European Molecular Biology Organization.
The European Molecular Biology Organization will welcome its new members at its annual membership meeting in Heidelberg, Germany, October 25-27, 2023. Among other things, the members of the European Molecular Biology Organization evaluate funding proposals for research projects and serve on the EMBO Council and committees.
